Tumour Specific Groups

Invasive pancreatic cancer - image produced by Tuveson GroupThe research groups working on specific tumour types draw on the overall expertise of the Institute and wider Cambridge science in cell biology, genomics, imaging and in vivo modelling in their research on the normal and tumour biology of a specific tissue.

Each group has links through to the relevant clinic at Addenbrooke's Hospital.

The groups, led by clinically qualified primary investigators, are laboratory-based at the Institute.

A further recruitment is being sought in lung cancer. There are strong links with Rebecca Fitzgerald (Hutchison/MRC Research Centre) for oesophageal cancer.

Group Leaders in this area are:

Carlos Caldas
David Neal
David Tuveson
