Cancer Biology and in vivo models

The focus of this research theme is on epithelial cell biology and its disruption in cancer development.

These themes link to research based on specific cancer sites (e.g. prostate, breast, lung, gastro-intestinal and pancreas) with the practical aim of providing molecular targets for diagnosis, prognosis of early lesions, and for therapeutic (and ultimately, preventive) intervention.

The researchers work with human material, moving back and forth to mouse in vivo models as appropriate.
